An excellent mini column for all molecular biology applications. These columns have been carefully designed for optimum performance when used in both centrifuge- and vacuum-mdiated sample preparations. The geometry of the column interior ensures the complete descharge of solution under both centrifugation and vacuum, eliminating the carryover of residual amounts of buffer from previous steps. The column tips have been designed to ensure a vacuum-tight seal with all commonly used manifolds and complementary fittings. These columns can be modified by adding porous frits, sorbents, gel filtration media or retainer rings and membranes. Polyethylene frits and retainer rings are availbable as accessory items. The internal volume is approximately 900 µl. Fits all common 1.5 ml and 2 ml microfuge tubes. Sold unfritted or fritted by the case (4,000 columns). Molded in medical-grade polypropylene.
