<p>This kit is based upon a modified <span class="caps">SDS</span>-alkaline lysis of bacterial cells in combination with lysate filtration and selective binding of the plasmid <span class="caps">DNA</span> to special AxyPrep purification columns. The yield of plasmid for kit is up to 500 &micro;g respectively. This kit can also be used to isolate large constructs, such as <span class="caps">BAC</span>, PAC and P1. The protocols provide a simple, rapid and efficient method for the isolation of highly purified plasmid <span class="caps">DNA</span>. The entire preparation process can be completed in 45 minutes for the Maxiprep.
