Axygen Biosciences offers a unique and complete CUSTOM SCREEN crystallography service. It will provide you with inclusive freedom to design and order your own Custom Screens or to order Axygen designed Follow up and Optimization Screens.

A. Custom Follow Up/Optimization Screens or Initial Screens designed by YOU

You can design your own screening conditions and let us prepare them for you. You can download the Custom Screen Excel file form available on our website to design your Custom Screens. We have a list of more than 90 reagents (crystallization grade polymers, salts, buffer, organic solvents, and detergents) that can be chosen to design your Custom Screens. Screens are prepared in 96-deep well plates (1ml/each well) using Type I analytical grade water and sterile filtered. They are prepared by highly accurate dispensing robots.

If you need to add an ingredient to your screens not available on our list please contact us (aazarani@axygen.com).

To place an order:

1. Design your screens using the following Excel file and email it to us aazarani@axygen.com
2. We will verify your order and contact you with a confirmation
3. The price for your Custom Screen set is $250/96-deep well plate for reagents included in this list
4. Once your order is approved we will ask you to fax us a PO 510-476-1091 or call us for a credit card order
5. If you want to use reagents not included in this list email us for price quote and delivery time

B. Custom Follow up or Optimization Screens designed by Axygen

Based on your preliminary results obtained from your initial screening conditions Axygen can provide you with Custom-Made Optimization/Follow Up Screens designed by CRYSTool™. To place an order send us an email (aazarani@axygen.com) and we will give you access to CRYSTool. Your screens will be made in 96-deep well plates (1ml/each well for $250) and delivered to your door within 48 hours of processing your order.

C. Follow up kits based on Axygen’s Initial Screens preliminary results

If you come across a successful condition from our Initial screen sets 101 or I-VI, which you need to explore we can send you a follow up kit ($150/kit). For example, if you use our CP-CUSTOM-I Initial Screen and detect crystals using the reagents in well A7 (Na-Malonate, pH6, 1.55M, Tris-Maleate, 0.1M, pH 5.5, Mg-Sulfate, 0.17M, and MG7, 0.48%) you can send us an email (aazarani@axygen.com ) and we will send you a follow up kit called CP-CUSTOM-I-A7 containing the following seven components:

• Na-Malonate, 3.40M Na-Malonate pH 4 (10ml)
• Na-Malonate, 3.40M Na-Malonate pH 5 (10ml)
• Na-Malonate, 3.40M Na-Malonate pH 6 (10ml)
• Na-Malonate, 3.40M Na-Malonate pH 7 (10ml)
• Tris-Maleate, 1.0M, pH 4.5 (10ml)
