The Semi-Automated Protein Crystallography Plate and Microplate Sealer is a dual action sealing system designed for adhesive sealing of crystallography plates and heat-sealing of Deep-well plates, microplates and PCR plates. Includes a universal support block for SBS footprint plates and support block for 96-well half and full-skirt plates. Operation is easy, robust, and accurate. Simply locate the plate in the stainless steel carrier, place the sealing film of interest on top of your plate, slide the assembly into position and press the Start button. The AxyPress Block (heated to the desired temperature for heat sealing while used at room temperature for adhesive sealing) is mechanically lowered until it comes into contact with the plate and sealing film. It remains in contact for a preset time (of a few seconds chosen by the user) and then rises to allow the assembly to be slid back for access. The plate is now completely sealed and each well is fully isolated.
